I have started this blog to provide information about watching British TV in Spain so that I can refer complete novices to this blog that send me enquiries via our two websites.

Satellite dishes in Spain
There are various sizes and types of satellite dish that you can choose in Spain, we have installed satellite systems all over Spain so have an extensive knowledge of what will and will not work.
From Gibralter along Coast all the way to Almeria and inland to Granada :
A 1.3 metre dish will me be adequate, however a 1.4 German Golden Interstar dish will be a much better choice as it offers : 24/7 viewing even in high winds or heavy rain, it is best used with a good high quality LNB you can contact me for best prices and next day delivery.

A 1.4 German Golden Insterstar dish should be used with the best LNB
From Seville across to Madrid

From Torrevieja to Elche

Question : Can you use a sky box in Spain?
Answer : Yes
Question : Do you need a sky card to watch sky tv in Spain?
Answer : No, you can watch all of the FREE channels using a sky box with no card, you may however wish to sign up for a sky tv viewing card in Spain if you want to watch sky movies, or sky sports.
SKY TV use viewing cards that control what you can watch on a sky box, as I am writing this December 2009 you can only use an official sky box and card to receive sky sports and movies as sky have recently issue the new white card and this has a new type of encryption that Manufacturers of "non-sky" boxes such as Manhattan and Technomate now have to modify there card readers, it is only a matter of time that this happens. This is excellent news for people that have Holiday Homes in Spain or spend six months in UK and six months in Spain as using the non-sky boxes allows you to bring your sky card with you on Holiday!
